What
to expect when you interview:
- Interviews are scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Applicants begin with a brief meeting with the Program
Assistant who gives a description of the day, hands out
an itinerary, an article on the evaluation of EM residencies,
a benefit summary, parking validation and a meal ticket.
- Applicants attend a video presentation and meet with the
Assistant Program Director for a program overview.
- Applicants attend ER Conferences on Wednesday, in addition
to meeting with two faculty and one resident individually.
- Each applicant has the opportunity to observe in the
ED (unless s/he has rotated here) and spends time
talking to faculty,
residents, students and PA's on duty.
- All applicants
have lunch together with other EM residents.
- At the day's end, the Residency Coordinator will meet
with the applicant for any final questions and to review
benefits. An interview feedback questionaire is handed out
at this time.
